Your generosity does more than provide a meal — it creates an opportunity for a young person to hear a message that could change the course of their life.

Our volunteers are the backbone of Food, Faith & Football. Their willingness to step in and serve allows this ministry to reach students week after week with consistency and care.
Behind every gathering is a team of committed people who help prepare and serve meals, welcome students, assist with setup and cleanup, and ensure the environment is safe, organized, and inviting. Many volunteers also build relationships with students — offering encouragement, modeling strong character, and helping create a place where young people feel seen and valued.
Some serve in visible roles, while others work quietly behind the scenes cooking food, coordinating details, supporting events, and strengthening outreach efforts. No matter the role, each volunteer contributes to a mission larger than themselves: investing in the next generation and helping guide students toward purpose, resilience, and hope.
Simply put — this ministry does not move forward without faithful volunteers. Their time, heart, and dedication make it possible to continue changing lives one meal, one message, one student at a time.

Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and purpose at Taste of Food, Faith & Football on March 13th from 5–8 PM at First Church of God, 2627 Niles Avenue in St. Joseph, Michigan. ()
This community event brings people together around the very meals served to local student athletes through Food, Faith & Football — a ministry dedicated to investing in the next generation through consistent support, encouragement, and real-life guidance.
Enjoy a free-will donation dinner, participate in a silent auction, and be part of a night focused on strengthening students and building community. Every contribution helps continue the mission of reaching young people at a time when direction and mentorship matter most.
Bring your family, invite a friend, and come ready to make a lasting impact.
Changing lives — one meal, one message, one student at a time.

Food, Faith & Football exists to reach student athletes at a critical time in their lives — when guidance, strong values, and consistent support can shape their future.
During each sports season, we partner with local high school teams to provide a dependable meal and a place to pause from the demands of competition. After eating, students hear a short, impactful message from guest speakers who share real-life experiences and lessons on character, resilience, leadership, and faith.
Our program creates opportunities for students to connect with trusted adults and role models who reinforce positive choices, accountability, and personal growth — both in athletics and everyday life.
Through honest conversations and powerful testimonies, students are challenged to think beyond the scoreboard and consider the kind of person they are becoming. The goal is not just better athletes, but stronger leaders prepared for life after high school.
By bringing together volunteers, coaches, and community supporters, Food, Faith & Football builds an environment where students feel supported, valued, and reminded that their lives have purpose.

Food, Faith & Football began in 2013 from a simple but clear calling. While serving as a “team mom” for my son’s freshman football team, I saw firsthand that many of these young men needed stronger guidance and more positive influences than what was readily available to them during such a formative season of life.
What started out — preparing a hearty meal once a week — soon became something much greater. In exchange for the meal, the players agreed to stay and listen as respected men from our community shared their personal testimonies and life stories, speaking honestly about the challenges young people face and the choices that shape their future.
The response was immediate. By the following year, additional football teams were participating, and before long the program expanded into neighboring schools, continuing to grow steadily through 2017.
After stepping away for several years due to a career transition and the disruptions of COVID, the ministry was revived in 2023 with the same conviction it was founded on: when students are given consistency, truth, and genuine care, lives can change.
Today, Food, Faith & Football remains committed to investing in the next generation — continuing the mission of changing lives, one meal, one message, one student at a time.
